On topic:
Older versions of the game were gradually taken off the store as newer ones came out. Generally games that were 4-5 years old were removed from Steam. OOTP 18 was removed in July '22, 19 was removed in Jan '23.

Everything OOTP 20 and newer was still on the store as of yesterday.

That's interesting because I checked about a week ago and only OOTP 25 was available which, as 5 min ago, is still the case.

lol it's so weird to say that previous versions are available right now when they have been completely delisted. It's not a subject for debate... they are absolutely not available.

There are leagues in the older versions that are not in 23, 24, or 25 because of licensing issues... they removed a whole league in the middle of 23 due to licensing issues. It's just the way it is. Could the new parent company have some say in the matter as well? Of course, but we will never know.

Apparently, people have forgotten how there was a big ordeal in the middle of one cycle where the MLB complained that OOTP was not licensed by the MLB. This forced OOTP to go generic with most things until they secured the license.

EDIT: OOTP 15, specifically May of 2014, is where it all changed.
