February 5th, 1998 - Tampa, FL - The GCSL is starting to gain some real momentum heading into 1998. Pl*yb*y TV has agreed to increase their contracted payout (almost double) for 1999 and 2000. Many are starting to wonder if this is going to result in more teams or possibly the geography of the league getting rid of the rule restricting it to Gulf Coast adjacent cities. Many are already criticizing the idea saying that it will destroy what makes the league so unique. And critics of that critique respond saying that beer and t**s are a nationwide pastime, not just for the “Gulf Coast elites”.
March 17, 1999 from Tampa, FL - Internet web forums have been going crazy for the last 24 hours. Rumor is going around that the GCSL may move to a schedule twice its size next season. Playing games all throughout the week. All due to a rumored major television deal with a popular TV network. Some say it may be MTV which Pl*yb*y TV might not be able to compete with monetarily, if true. No official reports or word from the GCSL commissioner yet
February, 2000, Tampa, FL - The GCSL were able to renegotiate their contract with Pl*yb*y TV for another season. The league will have the opportunity to explore offers at the conclusion of the 2000 season. The league had an offer from TNN but would have required the league to “water down“ some of it’s more “adult“ elements. The commissioner is said to have believed “cleaning up” the product would remove it’s appeal to its current fan base. The league is moving to a full schedule this season with 162 games. Each week the teams will play TWO series of three games instead of one. As a result, team payrolls have just about doubled. The addition of a minor-league represents how quickly the GCSL is growing. But the commissioner seems determined to maintain the product, no matter how controversial it may be to some.
April 2, 2000, Tampa, FL - On the eve of Opening Day the league commissioner held a press conference announcing and unveiling photos and videos of the new 3000 seat stadiums for all 12 of the Gulf Coast teams. He also announced the active roster limit is being raised to 26 effective immediately.

About the league
We sim every single day at 6am EST.
We draft using StatsPlus.
No free agency.
Reserve-clause era financials.
We finish one full game year in about one month real time.
We sim one regular season week each day.
Sim from one Monday to the next Monday.

About the owners
Half the owners have been with the league (and earlier iterations of the league) for over two years.
Our turnover is normally very low but recently a few owners had unique real world life changes resulting in multiple vacancies.
Our youngest GM is 19 and our oldest is 52.
Average GM age is 34.

New Owner Requirements
Must be 18 years of age. No exceptions.
