AI trading valuation- malfunction

A couple of times it has happened that I have an overpaid veteran, but I am willing to bite the bullet finance wise and want to trade them. For example right now I have Corbin Burnes locked in for two more years at 30 million a year and he is rated as a 4 star SP.

Even if I offer to cover his entire salary for the next two years, no one will offer me anything for him. Same thing happened to me with Edwin Diaz last year. He was a 5 star CL in his final year and was overpaid at 30 million, but I should be able to get at least some value out of him if I am willing to pay 100 percent of his salary for the other team.

There must be something going wrong with the AI trade valuations in these cases I am guessing. I understand no one offering anything for them at their current salaries, but it does not make sense when I am offering to cover the entire costs.
