A "heads up" would be nice.
I wish guys signed to the minor league deals that have to be promoted by the 30th day of the season would contact you shortly before the deadline if they intend on taking the free agency route.

An email notification from one's Assistant GM would be nice. For now I usually use the "note" feature along with a reminder. The trouble with the note/reminder is if there is another notification, like you have a player at AAA with an injury, you won't see the notification from the note.

Say you have four guys signed to those contracts who are still in the minors on the 28th. Only two of them notify you they intend to walk on the 30th. Then, you would only feel pressure to promote those two. The reality is that the other two players should also say that they intend to walk if not promoted, even if they don't actually intend to walk, just to be evaluated on equal grounds. Let me know if the explanation is not getting through. It is a really simple concept but I'm writing in a rush. |

I think a warning when you have high quality players about to reach the 30 day cutoff similar to the warning when you have a guy vulnerable in the Rule 5 draft would be nice.

It could be a single email reminding of every player signed to a milb contract with output on the 30th. That would be perfect.
I only push back on the idea that the game should tell you who intends to leave the team if not promoted. |

I would prefer to only be told about players who might opt out, being one email or several.

So make it optional. Give us a check box for each prospect we want to have an email when they make the majors. Or make it so players on a shortlist trigger the email. Another option is limit to prospects on the top 100 list. There are multiple ways to do this without getting overwhelmed with emails |

These things are usually shown in the TASK window if you have it on your GM, or team page.

I don't think it shows you when a player is about to opt out.
