Is "Make this work" no longer available in trading window

Is there a setting that I need to use to bring back the "Make this work" option in the trading window? I am pretty sure it was there in OOTP24.

Hmm. I launched a custom game, pretty standard but with random player debuts. Here is what I see when I have tried to start a trade:

If you use hard mode it is not an option.

That was it! I had the settings at Normal, but missed the check box underneath. Thanks.

Another strike against the dreaded Hard Mode. It's a feature I detest. But I understand that some want the added (grrrr) challenge of delay and loss of the Make It Work button. I would miss the Make It Work choices, which always seem to come down to Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, or the clubhouse boy.

Just don’t use it if you don’t like it 😃. The entire reason for its existence is to eliminate the “make it work now” button for those who don’t want it.

Yeah, the whole new trade options, taking out "work now" and adding "GM reputations" was a big upgrade to OOTP. Then in "OOTP fashion" making it optional for those that don't want to use it. Nothing was taken away from users that prefer the "old way", and the game came a long way in combatting "bait and switch trading" among other ways to cheese the game. I think everybody won?

Sure some will say "they could have done it this way, or that way", but at least they did something, and something that works.

In fairness, those that don’t want the “make it work now” button could also…y’know, “just not use it if they don’t like it .”

Well, everybody won except those of us that wanted an actual upgrade and not a step in the exact wrong direction and those who want something that’s actually more realistic, not less. There should be more interaction and feedback from the other GMs, not less. “Make it work now” is a step in the right direction and should be more thorough, not removed completely. This feels like if throwing an offspeed pitch when there’s 2 strikes resulted in a strikeout every time and instead of fixing it they just made it an option to turn off offspeed pitches.

Valid points and maybe one day they are able to do that. Until then we went from nothing to something.

Sure "something that works" can mean different things to different users, the same as "realistic". My thoughts on "something that works" is the feature does do what it was intended to do. It does not mean it works in a way that everyone wants it to work.

Any trade engine in any sports title is going to have it's shortcomings, and shortcuts (for lack of a better word) to try to make trading
as realistic(?) (there's that word again) or "good" as they can while understanding it can always be improved. In this way OOTP is no different than every sports title on the market that I know of.

I really don’t understand the issue. We have an idea of team needs, so that is definitely a starting point in trade negotiations. If some people want the make it work now function, then why are they enabling hard mode? This complaint isn’t really making much sense to me.

As I have said this is one area of the game where I believe less is more…but that’s just my opinion and so they developers have given people a choice. Now people are complaining because there’s a choice?? I’m confused??
