Should I use a six-man rotation to start season?

I am playing with a franchise which I carried over from OOTP24.
I had to manually set up all the league events as I progressed from the 2025 to 2026 season.
And I must have made a mistake, as I ended up with just 23 spring training games.
Because of this, my starting pitchers only got five starts and some just four, so their innings are limited going into the season.
Should I open the season with a six-man rotation and let them all get to the six starts they would in a normal spring training?
Or am I just reading too much into the realism of the game?

Might be reading too much into the realism of the game, I think you would be ok with a 5 man rotation.

This. I honestly don’t believe it makes any difference whether your pitcher threw 3 innings or 30 innings in spring training once the regular season begins. At least that’s based on my own personal experience but I’d be happy to be corrected by someone who knows for sure.

I give my normal starters very little work in ST and really focus on giving starts to younger guys...... So I do HOPE you are reading too much into it, because otherwise I've been hurting myself on this for years haha.

I do the exact same thing and it’s worked great for me without any noticeable issues. *shrugs*
