Windowed Mode
No matter what resolution I set in the settings in-game I am stuck with FHM being full screen, not windowed.
Currently running Windows 11, display 2560x1600. |

Sorry, just saw your solution.
I guess you use some form of windows zoom? When you post (or send it as PM) a trace file I can tell you why it happens.

Trace files would help me to look into it.
It automatically goes into fullscreen mode when the screen resolution is below the minimum resolution of the game.

I enabled trace file debug.
Where is it and how can I send it to you? |

I'd just upload that somewhere and share the link or copy the contents and create a pastebin(https://pastebin.com/) to share or something. |

I'll try it again because I do not have a debug file.

If you have enabled trace file debug it should open when you close the game.

For reference and others to help as well (the line below is from the trace file):
"2024-04-11 18:19:01 Screen Size: 1280 Width, 800 Height; Available Screen Size: 1280 Width, 764 Height, Screen-Size w/o Border: 1270 Width, 737 Height, DPR: 2" The above is the important line from the trace file, the bolded part the reason for the forced fullscreen mode: The game needs 1280x768 as a minimum resolution, if one of height/width goes below that (in your case the height), it will force fullscreen mode (remember: the windows bar takes space away as well). You also seem to have windows zoom activated (DPR: 2), I guess 200%? If you remove the zoom (maybe lower it to 150% or 125% might work as well) could also make windows mode work.

My window size set in FHM is 1440*900. I don't know how to set Zoom inside FHM but outside it, it's set at 150% (recommended). I increased my FHM window size to 2560*1600 with no change whatsoever. The characters have not become smaller or larger, and I cannot 'window' it. It almost seems like the FHM Window Size is being ignored somehow. Last edited by GMO123; 04-12-2024 at 06:35 PM. |

It is not about the screen size you set in FHM, it is about the screen size of your screen: as I wrote in my message, your screensize (in your case the height) is below the minimum, so the game will force fullscreen mode since it can´t show a window bigger than your screen size.
If you want to use window mode you need to set your zoom down (maybe 125%, maybe 100%) and select a FHM window size that is below it. Quote:

My window 11 (not FHM) display resolution is 2560 x 1600. Reducing zoom to 125% did help however. Thanks. Last edited by GMO123; 04-13-2024 at 02:46 PM. |
