Aging Players

I started a 1940 Historical league using default method. I did not mess with any of the settings.

It is now 1967 in my league and I have way too many players still playing from the early 1940's.

Example.. Ted Williams at 49 years old is still an 80/80 rating.

What am I doing wrong?

Replied in the other thread. If retire-according-to-history is off, player development must be on as development ages players.
