My Perfect Team Experience so far....

I posted a question relating to this mode in the general discussions thread and was directed back here.

I have been a long-time player of this franchise since 2014

I have a long-term save that I have been continuously playing since 2016, I always check out both primary modes with a larger focus on the general game mode due to the amount of control and customization that it offers.

I have some concerns about Perfect Team and the new team chemistry mechanic. I believe that it is desperately either flawed or broken in some way.

Currently, I am sitting within the bronze league with an 84.12% chemistry rating with my team.

-- Building a Yankees-themed team because that's my favorite squad.

However, teams with dramatically lower percentages are beating me because the card-level ratings make the team chemistry rating a moot subject.

Case and point the team that beat me last had an 11.98% team chemistry rating.

When this mode was presented to all of us as consumers.

It was presented as making teams competitive and giving us the chance to build themed teams that would be competitive.

I'm not asking for any specific reason other than I'm utterly a little lost. with this new mechanic.

I currently sit on a 57 and 105 record.

Don't know what I did wrong but not as big a draw as previous modes, why? Because I had to spend money to build a team or at least get enough packs to rely on good pulls.

Just airing my honest thoughts. The mode has potential, but the mechanic desperately needs to be fixed.

Honestly just sounds like your favourite squad isn't working out.

Time to move out of the bronx or spend $$ and get some perfect yanks.

I have a pretty random hodgepodge of players and sit around 30% chemistry when AI builds.

Packs run hot and cold. If you're relying on them to help your team get better, it's usually a losing prospect unless you're raking in a ton in tournament play. Set a target for the better Yankees cards. For theme teams, it's a marathon because you're not chasing the meta. You're under no pressure to win except the pressure you put on yourself.

Thank you for the encouragement, it's why the mode was built, I've accepted that it funds the next development for next year.

Still, while I feel no pressure to win. I appreciate having fun in the mode and it is kind of depressing.

LOL but at the same time when I spent money. It was usually later in the cycle for the mode, and after I had evened out and was enjoying putting time into the regular-season mode which for last year I put in about 1700 hrs. plus.

I was just posting my honest thoughts about what I was experiencing with this new mode. I appreciate the honest thoughts, from both sides of the issue.

As a long-term player they're not going to lose me unless they drastically do something to actually hurt the franchise.

Lemme see your roster. We may be able to come up with something for you to shoot for player-wise. I'm guessing with the bad season in bronze, you were not using as many of the gold+ players as you potentially could.

hmm...that roster shouldn't be terrible in bronze.

I'm guessing your theme has to have Yankees on the card, right? This is gonna be a tough nut to crack, considering gold+ NYY live cards are very expensive right now. I need to know how many points you have so that I can have an idea of the budget for right now and potentially going forward.

Currently, I have....1,602 points. I did have 10,102 points. Until...

I just completed a major transaction to send off the last of my non-Yankee cards, Dock Ellis, and in his place, I got a level 95 David Cone Yankee card which now puts my team chemistry at 86.98%.

We'll see what that does and what the impact will be a new season has started and I am currently sitting at 10 and 17 within the bronze league. I appreciate the support and will keep in touch.
