View: Projected Stats from Ratings
(Originally posted on main v25 subforum, but probably more appropriate here.):
Given that the new league-adjusted actual-ratings-to-expected-stats translation in the player editor shows the basic process is included for real ratings, I would very much like to see the option to display scouted-ratings-to-expected stats in lieu of scouted ratings on front-end interface screens: player pop-ups, profiles, roster views, etc. There are many options for how extensive this substitution is incorporated (personal preference would be for splits and for current as well as potential) and displayed (one number for each statistic, a range for each statistic, etc.), but the central upside is that it would make the real actionable meaning of scout assessments more accessible and transparent. Along with the quantitative language itself, this would more accurately represent both how a rational organization in general and a modern MLB front office in particular operates (no current GM is trying to decipher or translate a scouting report with uncertainty regarding what the scout grades mean statistically; every number or word would have a specific meaning in the lexicon of that front office).
