Arizona Complex League

With the MLB changing the ACL schedule to last from May to July, what will real life teams do with newly drafted rookies? Just came across this situation in game as now my newly drafted rookies are sitting in the Arizona Complex League, but the season ended days after the draft

Is it advisable to send the more advanced guys/out of college players straight to single A?

I hate being the first answer, but I have to think that checking college players in A ball is okay, especially with high picks. I find using that "Ratings relevant to:" button helpful. High School players maybe focus on their Development tab and starting them at ACL the following season which happens in real life

Please note the use of the word "maybe" since I have yet to encounter this

Can you schedule any spring training in the minor leagues? Might not hurt to create a winter league with no playoffs as a way to create offseason informal games so they arent just sitting there in a prolonged offseason

Yeah, I didn’t catch this either until my season for that league was over. Luckily there was a little bit of time left in A-ball, and I moved a couple players up. But that’s always scary. Isn’t that the purpose of the old short-season A league? Maybe there just hasn’t been a fill-in.
I’ve already created an Arizona Fall League, but that’s mostly upper minors players. I might create something else where Rookie ball players get some time to play.

Apparently teams want to shut down college arms and HS players until the following season, and with the domestic player limit dropping to 165, they wouldnt have enough pitchers. Doing this allows them to get one more full season from guys before cuts are made.

As it was obviously a change from previous years, this will be the first one in which we will see how teams act with their draft picks.

Will high picks be able to go to A Ball? or will we have to wait almost a year to see them debut in the minor league system.

I changed the start date for the Rookie leagues to the last week of June, a few weeks after the draft. This is how it was before MLB rearranged the minor leagues. This give the kids out of high school a league to play in for the rest of the summer.

I also kept the SSA leagues. It's easy enough to create them.

One criticism I have is that the Standard game doesn't come with the Prospects, Draft and AFL enabled as is, that you have to create them. I forget about that option frequently when creating saves.
