Post-patch, generated prospects are getting ground into dust

The best generated player in game-year 2028 is a 40/65 SP who was like a 35/65 SP coming out of the draft.

Literally no one is making it above 50/50 by the time they reach the majors.

This is a new start done after the patch.

Is this a fictional or MLB start? They did say there was still work to be done on the draft classes for the MLB (which wouldn't be generated players).

The progression and distribution in my fictional is looking pretty good, 25 total seasons, 10 of them since the latest update.

It's an MLB start, but I've been specifically tracking the generated players.

In a real MLB world, you'd expect at least a couple of the IAFAs from 2024 to be breaking through or close to breaking through as a 20 or 21 y.o. in MLB.

Also, the development process for college players now doesn't produce any close to MLB-ready guys. Wyatt Langford types don't exist in OOTP's generated player universe.

I've had similar results in fictional. It's particularly frustrating because it's an issue that doesn't fully reveal itself right away but makes committing to a franchise save a difficult proposition.

It needs to be reviewed. I converted my save 2024 save and the ratings decline in all levels of the minors and majors is there.

Don't expect to be reviewed. We've reached the point where the devs feel it's okay to lecture the customers about "unrealistic expectations" for development. (See the patch thread.)

For whatever reason, the devs want this version of the game.

There is also a large set of the player base that wants it as well. OOTP is a niche baseball simulation series that caters to baseball nerds who want a more realistic style simulation experience. I am one of those, but I acknowledge some people want a more casual experience. I think you should realize and acknowledge as well that the devs changes are pleasing a part of the player base. No reason both sets can't be pleased though with the numerous settings options.

This is a different issue then the best generated player in game-year 2028 is a 40/65 SP who was like a 35/65 SP coming out of the draft.
