Rule 5 Draft Question - Possible to Reverse in Commissioner Mode?

I'm still learning the game and watched a YT video that seemed to intimate that playing in Commissioner Mode allows one to reverse Trades that were mistakes.

I recently lost a player in the Rule 5 Draft that I intended to keep, but didn't protect him properly. As such, is it possible to "reverse" this in Commissioner Mode, or is it just a "live and learn" moment in OOTP?

Go into commish mode, right click on the player you intended to protect and release them. You'll get a prompt saying that the player will be returned to their original team.
