I'm looking to create a league with 30 teams from throughout baseball history (ok, I'm looking to make a ootp version of microleague from the old c64 days). Is this possible?
If anyone remembers the old microleauge game and wants the team list I can post them if you want. |

Wow, I haven't thought of that game in ages. That was one of the games I played, that and that Space Rama game that had a major bug in the first floppy disk that didn't allow you to move in the game to get to the other three floppy disks. Ahhh.. that game frustrated me to no end.
Anyway, would love to see the 30 teams you're going to try and run against each other. |

You can use Pierre's player editor to import teams from other OOTP leagues. Not sure if you can just import teams from the Lahman DB, but you could feasibly start a league in each year that you want a team from and then use Pierre's editor to then import a team from each league that you want. It can be done, but might take a little work.

I know you were able to do this in OOTP3, not sure if you can do it in OOTP4. I made an all time teams league with 24 classic teams and ran a season, which the 1998 Yankees beat the 1973 A's in the World Series!

You cannot use the editor in OOTP4. I guess the only thing you can use can be the Draft utility. But not sure. :

Cipherl, here are the teams from micrographix, mind you - they aren't the greatest teams all time and this list was generated around 1986 =
27 Yankees 45 Cubs 55 Senators 55 Dodgers 61 Yankees 63 Dodgers 68 Tigers 69 Mets 73 A's 75 Reds 75 Red Sox 79 Pirates 78 Yankees 80 Phillies 80 Royals 80 Astros 82 Brewers 82 Cardinals 83 Orioles 93 Braves** 98 Yankees** 69 Cubs 90 A's** 68 Cardinals 19 White Sox 76 Phillies 30 A's 53 Dodgers** 46 White? Sox 31 Cards** (**means I added them to balance out the number of teams) |

I was thinking of trying this too.
Could you just create a custom league of XX teams, import the individual players as free agents, then , under human control, sign the right guys to the right teams? Guess this could take a while, now that I think about it.

You can import individual teams from the database from within the "edit league structure" area in "league setup".
