Pick Compensation from the Draft

I have had 3 players - one each year refuse to sign. Every time I get the No compensation - did not offer eligible contract.

I offered more than the slot amount each year and still get nothing. Is there a setting I need to check to make it work correctly.

I believe I saw this on an earlier post, but don't recall if the problem was solvable. Any answers here?

It's a bug, they claim to have fixed it in the upcoming patch. For the time being the only workaround seems to be to draft players with affordable bonus demands.
