reliever salary

In 25, a reliever's salary is too much. While relievers' salaries have risen in MLB in recent years, in the game, players who aren't even top closers are paid tens of millions of dollars. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this is weird, as it's been brought up several times in the forum.

Do you have any thoughts on lowering reliever's salary?

At least in my fictional league it does seem pretty high for a ton of very average rated relievers, but honestly idk what is considered "normal"

I haven't heard any overt admissions regarding reliever salaries from the developers yet but I definitely second your post. Devin Williams raking in ~$30M a year for 5 years in the first offseason is straight bonkers. Not to mention several other low-caliber relievers who pull salaries in the $15M - $20M range. Makes no sense from a competitive perspective. Obviously (I would hope) human players wouldn't be getting hosed in these cases but when you have the AI building out their rosters with these types of signings, it kinda makes the game a little too easy.

There's been a lot of threads about this, I guarantee they've seen it. Fixing it? I assume they will, almost everything gets fixed. It's not in the next patch notes unfortunately.

Its honestly very hard to play until this is fixed. You can never resign an upcoming FA reliever because they all want 10m+.

This is listed as something that has been adjusted in the beta patch that is currently available.
