Why is my owner taking so much money?
I have slashed my budget everywhere and my owner is still taking more than the projected profit. This makes it so that I can’t spend on player development. Is this really how it works? My owner is a 6 in owner spending, and I’ve found that if I edit it so that he’s an 8, he’ll stop taking more than the projected budget, but can I really not spend more on player development with this owner? |

Owners just wanna rake in the bucks, it's how they got rich enough to buy a team in the first place.
Kinda makes me wish we had the option to be owners ourselves, so we could order the peons to gift us World Series trophies for a pittance... |

Among OOTP25's alleged "improvements" seems to have been a greed amplification. Yay. More things to patch that could've just been left alone.
Seriously, at this point I'd respect the devs more if they just reverted the code base to OOTP22 and did a roster update. |

When I have a pain in the ass owner, I like to kill him by changing his age to over 100. Sure, I could just edit his attributes, but I feel like I owe it to fans to murder that fool.

I have this issue and I play mostly as the Astros. IRL Jim Crane says "as long as I'm here our window is open" and constantly raises the payroll, bringing in Hader this Fall. OOTP Jim Crane is sometimes an economizer who takes heavy hits at the team payroll which, because of the organization's situation, almost always prompts a rebuild under the new financial structure.
