Card Art disappearing

My card art has disappeared.

It started as a couple cards in a pack being blank and a couple having art now it's gotten to no cards having cart art and the packs themselves not even having card art.

I've reset the cache and that hasn't changed a thing

I've been dealing with their support over discord over this very issue back and forthing the past few days since launch.

1. First it was a subset of cards now it's all the cards.
2. Installed the build update/patch and issue still persists.
3. On wired ethernet/tried hotspot -- not an issue where my internet provider it prohibiting the CDN from downloading the content. I stream other games frequently.
4. Tried deleting the game on macOS and even went as far as removing all of the data in Application Support/Library etc. to make sure the reinstall was clean.

Now I can't see any of the card art, really feels like either a backend issue or problem with the native client unable to retrieve the content.

I also have run into an issue where I can't open the 25th anniversary pack and the game crashes every time.

Things are pretty close to unplayable for me at the moment, been playing since OOTP18/19 and this is probably the roughest launch out of them all. Hope these issues get fixed soon.

Just tried reinstalling, including deleting the data in /Library/Conrainers/OOTP25 folder and changing a few settings related to delaying pack openings, etc. but unfortunately to no avail.

I'm out of ideas at this point, hopefully this issue is identified and addressed in a patch or backend processing delivering the content.

We are still investigating this, but what we have found is that this is typically caused by a firewall setting either on the system or in the router itself. One way to fix it is connecting through a different hotspot or disable firewalls while playing the game. Also, check any applications in the backgrounds which might interfere. Connecting to the internet via a VPN can cause this issue, too.

We will soon have a special version ready for users who experience this issue which hopefully fixes this problem without having to resort to the above measures. We'll keep you posted!

I mentioned this in my third item, but I didn't do a good job adding more context that I *did* try the hotspot off of my smartphone and that still did not resolve the issue. I stream a lot of games on close to gigabit LAN and work at a company for my day job that deals with delivering CDN content, so it doesn't seem like the issue. It's very odd that this only affected random cards at first but then happened to all cards after I did the first reinstall.

Has your card art came back at all? I still don't have any. My game was also shutting down while picking from my 25th anniversary pack. Hopefully it will resolve itself soon.

It's not likely to resolve itself, but we've had folks with the same issue get good results by whitelisting OOTP in their firewall/modem firewall, using a hotspot to bypass their router or even connecting through a new router.

The next patch will have an experimental setting as well that will change the connection protocol and might help with some of these cases, so keep any eye out for that.

Unfortunately the latest public beta patch 25.2.52 did not resolve this issue, same behavior.

Did you try using the "Prefer ipv6” option? that's the only thing in the patch that might help with this and you need to choose it manually.

It's finally working! I did *nothing*

I loaded Perfect Team up (I've done it a few times since the patch) and had it running in the background when the next download/simulation came in the card art starting showing up.

Seems like something with your backend/server. I want to stress that I did nothing.

I'm glad it's working now, but nothing has changed on our end that would explain this, that I know of.

Well now cards started disappearing again. Haven't even closed the app or restarted or anything. It's just been downloading every 30 minutes. Oh well.

i actually looked it up and spent over $1500 on packs (~$130/mo) on perfect points for packs in ootp24. i spent $100 on pp for ootp25 when the game launched, but until the bugs and the card art issues are resolved, i wanted to let you know that i'm not planning on spending any more money on 25.

as a software engineer for 20+ years i respect how difficult it is to make anything work, and even more respect for a smaller independent studio doing it *especially* in the landscape of large licensing deals with professional sports leagues. but it's pretty clear that the quality of the release isn't there this year at launch.

anyway, this is a friendly nudge to resolve some of these issues. i'll try new patches to see if some of these issues are resolved, but until then it's gg for me.
