/facegen issue plus

When I try to launch OOTP, I am getting an error 'Could not find /facegen folder! Facegen will be disabled.

When I try to Play Perfect Team, I get Could not find folder /facegen/3d, can't load default jackets, then NATION::import_flag_image - unable to move down into nations_flags directory, then it's TEPLATES_ENGINE:load_temmplate_file - cannot open template file boxscores_page.tpl

and etc. Then the game crashes with fatal application exit. load_database error could not load default text file.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, verified files, etc.

On Settings from the start screen, did you go to settings and then from the pop-up, troubleshooting, and then hit the "force" installation?

The /facegen folder, FYI, contains the model files (not the individual .fg files).

I'm on Steam. Hitting Force installation tells you to Verify integrity of game files on Steam. Which I have done.

Here's what is in the facegen folder and the size of it, when you look for yours, is it there and is it full?

From that same troubleshooting screen, go to customizable data and it will get to where these folders are.

The folder containing my customizable data goes to my install folder. The facegen folder is not there.

To attach a screenshot, hit the "Go Advanced" button below the box we type in here. Then below the box on the new screen, look for "Manage Attachments". Click it. A pop up will come up. Navigate to the screenshot and hit Upload. THen close the little pop-up. Hit preview reply and see that it took. Post reply.

Ok, let me grab mine and zip them and post a link for you to download it. After unzipping it, just drag those folders to that location. Hopefully, the files you do have a full of all the stuff.

While I do that, see if you have a anti-virus thing you can turn off for 15 min and try that Steam revalidation force reinstallation again. A false positive or overaggressive setting in the anti-malware may be blocking the full install. If that check on your end doesn't sort it, I'll post the link. Those are critical things to get the game to run. The stats folder contains the entire historical database for example.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Its odd. I installed Friday and had not problem. The issue developed last night.
