NCAA Transfer Portal Is Killing Me

At the start of every single offseason, my program gets completely decimated by the transfer portal, no matter how we performed the year prior, or the scholarship situation, or ice time amounts, or player happiness during the season, doesn't matter, every July 1 when the list of players declaring their intent to transfer comes out, it includes almost my entire program year in and year out. This was also true regardless of if I had an AI head coach, or when I made myself the head coach after our coach's contract expired. And, to top it all off, most of the time when I nominate players to transfer in, they almost never accept my offers, even for a full scholarship (last year I went 0/5 in transfer offers and lost 2-3 full-time, top tier starters to the portal). I'm also not even playing on Challenge Mode. What am I doing wrong that makes my entire roster want to leave every year? Is there some element of the job I'm neglecting or missing, or is the game just set up for the player's program cupboard to be raided every summer?

EDIT: So I also just noticed, that the two guys I lost this year, who were playing on my first line and top D pair, left my program, with which they both had full scholarships, to go to other programs with which they got a partial scholarship and *NO* scholarship, respectively. Woof.

Seeing similar things. Really hoping the upcoming update makes the NCAA playable.

Good news: we took another look at the code today and found a few ways to greatly improve it. After the changes it looks much better now, so you should see a real improvment with the Transfer Portal after the next update is released!

Going to be a little later than usual than the last update was in previous years, the delay last month pushed this one back a bit. Most likely very early in April.

The NCAA Transfer Portal has changed college sports significantly. While it offers athletes more flexibility, it's tough for fans and coaches to see so many players leave. The constant movement makes it hard to build team chemistry and loyalty. It's frustrating to watch your favorite players leave, but it's a new reality we all have to adapt to.
