Early integration

I'm going to pick this up this year and I'm wondering if I can do a historical season but change it so the "color barrier" is removed before 1947.
I'd like to integrate the Negro League players into the major leagues.
Is such a thing possible? Thanks in advance for any replies.

I believe there is an option in the settings, I’ve googled it before but I can’t remember where off the top of my head.

Yeah there is a check box in the league rules for turning the color barrier on or off.

you can but I haven't figured how to get it so all the NeL players just enter the draft like they should in an integrated league. You can import them manually into the draft or release them from the Negro League teams and sign them as free agents but it's not very smooth.

You need to enable Real Minor Leagues in the settings for them to enter at the time they started their Negro League career. The data, as of OOTP 24, is stored in that database. If that is not selected, those players have no data in the main file unless they actually played in the MLB that year. In effect, as far as I know, that check box will not do very much unless you are playing with the full minors.

Thanks I will try this. I need to restart my early integration league as I was finding it too much work to manually import them into the draft every year.


I don't find historical minors ideal as it is very uneven with how it assign minor league teams to some teams but not others (historical I know but not ideal for gameplay) but I guess it's the only way to get the NeL players properly
