Unresolved bug: Arena Construction weirdness - FHM 8

Hi, we've encountered this (check here for screenshot and additional information https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=342745) bug again. It was never responded to on the FHM 8 bug forum, and though we managed to fix it by re-simming entirely back then, the bug has cropped up again. The issue is not the arena construction itself but the budget point deficit incurred by it (which will never end given the 'Mon. Jan 1 1900' completion date) The previous occurrence of the bug is in the file named "SBHLArenaBug.zip", still on your FTP servers, though it's from quite a while ago in league chronology.

The bug has happened mainly with STL, and moreso, seems dependent on someone exporting on July 1st. Other leagues apparently fixed this by only accepting exports for July 2nd, but, well, here we are, on July 7th.

I have access to a backup save from July 1st, and I imagine it might be possible to transplant the financial information of St. Louis pre-export on July 1st (which did not have the bug) onto the file. But re-simming in a separate instance from July 1st and exporting a STL team without that bug hasn't worked. The July 7th and July 1st files have been uploaded.

I can confirm that in the iNHL (running on FHM9 at that point) we had the same/similar issues with annual finance settings not tracking properly through teamfile exports. Teams' arenas were renamed, arena investments were incorrectly added, and finance allocations were not properly imported.

Our workaround is to have the commissioner manually cycle through the annual finance settings and set them to the same for all teams. We sim from June 23 to July 6, i.e. not allowing GMs to set annual finances for their teams.

We haven't tried yet if this works better in FHM10.

Of note is that each time the Arena's locations/names/capacities are changed, they are semi-consistent in their outcome. We encountered the Arena change bug (as separate from the construction bug) again during this offseason, and Seattle was (like in that old bugpost) again playing out of Beijing. I also know of a league called SHF where this happens.

Hey everyone, please have a look at the file when you have time. I have been part of the league since the beginning and it's been occurring repeatedly as mentioned above. Would hate to lose it over this bug.
