Do the Human ratings affect anything if HC (me) delegates tactics and Lineups?

I'm GM/HC.

I have my assistant set my team's lineups and tactics (set in Manager Options).

Do the Head Coach (me) ratings affect anything if the assistant is assigned to set tactics/lines?

At the end of each season there are points available to increase the GM/HC ratings.
Should I bother with adding ratings points to my HC ratings (e.g. coaching forwards, in-game tactics etc.) if they are not being used because my assistant is handling lineups and tactics, and use all the available points for the GM functions (e.g. negotiating skills etc.)?

Who affects in-game tactics - me as HC or my assistant?

Who is my assistant?
How do I know the strengths/weaknesses of my assistant?

From memory there is a tooltip for each one if you hover your cursor over the text.

Something like 'In-Game Tactics' appears totally useless unless you are actually playing out the games in 2D as it only pertains to how many attempts you get to inform your player of what you wish for them to do (if they don't understand, which they seem to struggle with often). So I actually remove all points from that and dump it into my regular tactics - though I set those myself.

I just tried to refer to the manual to see if it had a comprehensive explanation or copies of the tooltips but it doesn't, it just says to look at the tooltips in game (at the bottom of this page) - https://manuals.ootpdevelopments.com...=manager_setup

Jeff will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty certain you're overthinking it. The "Assistant" is not your Assistant Coach. It essentially acts like it, but the Assistant will do what's best for the team using your stats.

Using the numerical ratings for each category on your manager/GM profile - the 'tactics', 'in game tactics', 'physical preference', etc etc
