7d Lineups Not Respecting Depth Chart

Why?

I explicitly asked for "YES, allow starting subs". I want those subs in my lineups, I created the depth chart for a reason. I want my batting orders to depend on who's subbed in for the day's game.

I do not want to do this at the start of the game, that screen's a PITA and locks me out of the main game, I want to do this in the Daily Lineups screen so I can make sure that everyone's getting the times they need and I can reference what I need to in the rest of the UI. I have a pitcher who can bat, and a 1B who can Catch, my batting order matters to me. I want to SEE my lineups for the week ahead. I've got complex substitutions that I have set up in the DC but now I have to recreate these complex relationships by hand?

What setting am I missing to get this done? What's the point of an "auto fill" if it's not going to do anything but copy/pasta the same thing over and over again? I can do that. Hell, my cats can do that, and they've got a single brain cell they share between them.
