Potential Value for negotiated contract bug?

I'm running into this message:
The potential contract value may not be more than twice as high as the total contract value..."

The average contract value for my league is above the highest annual contract value offered, so this appears to be a bug.

Any way around this?

Are you offering a contract when you get the message?

If yes what are the contract terms?

Usually this check triggers if you add a team option at the end of the deal worth a lore more than the rest of the deal. ie. when you add in like a team option for 100m to try to trick the AI. Sometimes that could be a legit option you want, but you usually just have to adjust the rest of the deal to have more guaranteed money in there rather than back-load it in options.
