Does anyone know why Joey Santos was awarded a win against Joe Teteh in his last bout after getting losing to Teteh by a 10th round TKO for the Commonwealth Junior Welterweight Title on 1972-09-29?

According to Boxrec Santos lost his last pro bout to Joe Tetteh in September of 1972. He had previously beaten Tom Roberts at Dunedin in what I assume was for the New Zealand title.

Why are so many boxers records reported incorrectly on today's update? This even applies to old-time boxers. Box/Rec is certainly the most reliable source for accuracy in boxing records and many of the boxers in the current update do not have the correct amount of bouts. How is it that matches from 2019 aren't accounted for. The Draw between Fury-Wilder isn't even applied.

Hi there,

I am using the newest version of TBCB 2013 and made the online database change mentioned in the first post. When I attempt to update the database within my universe/save, the game keeps crashing. Is there a solution for this? Thanks in advance.

When you set up a universe be very,very tedious and make certain your database of boxers is to your liking. Then never , ever update using the online database. Worst case scenario the game will crash times infinity or it will screw your data up so badly you will wish it had crashed. All changes must be manual after creation. I have a base universe that I do not play but simply update it occasionally. If I need an updated or add in boxer I either import from that base or import updated fighters from the forums.I also have success with the boxer generator. If another name pops up for your boxer when you get ready to box him then locate that false fighter, copy him, then delete his original and your boxer should then appear. Another thing I learned the hard way was my universe would run smoothly for weeks and then upon opening one day it would start auto updating. After that crash city or boxers deleted , moved , re-named ,sent to the moon -you name it. Finally a couple of months ago when I had to re-do a universe I unchecked on the General Options page " Alert me on start up when a new version is available." Yeppers in TBCB talk-" Crash my universe whenever you get ready." Since unchecking it I have not had this issue since. ( Looking for wood to knock on.) Good luck.

It's been a while -- going on nine years, in fact. But finally brought 2.5 back to life. Sorry for the relative newbie question, but where can database updates be found? The update data pool function seems to be, well, defunct. Looking forward to using the most recent database, and eventually, to restarting the universes I had going. Thank you in advance.

Apparently the database is gone. No responses to this. I too just brought 2.5 back and would like to update it.

You can use the update system in the game. If you get errors there's a workaround in this thread:

Make sure the Domain Name in your config.ini reads
"Domain=tbdata.titleboutboxing.com"

Hey Pilight It's been a minute since I updated used dates mentioned in the help thread you posted everything update but the rating records. I even tried the date 2022 one and no luck. Any thoughts would be appreciated

We tried to add some Atomweights and 2.5 couldn't handle them. You'll need to try 20240704.
