Exclamation FHM10 Hotfix 10.3.43 Now Available

A new hotfix update for Franchise Hockey Manager 10, version 10.3.43, has just been released to fix some issues with the last game update (version 10.3.39.)

To apply the update:

-If you are playing the FastSpring version, just download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy. However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course.
-If you are playing the Steam version, the game will auto-update if you have that option active. If you don't see the update in your Steam update queue, you may need to exit and restart your Steam client.
-If you bought FHM from the Mac App Store, the game will auto-update as soon as the update is approved.

Download link for PC (FastSpring):
Main server: PC Installer Fastspring

Download link for Mac (FastSpring):
Main Server: Mac Installer Fastspring

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THE MAC FASTSPRING VERSION (ONLY): The Amazon webservers that host these files are, for some reason, being very slow to update with the proper version of the file tonight, which may lead to you getting version 10.3.41 (not intended for release) instead of 10.3.43 if you're unlucky when it picks your download server. If you download and install today, please verify on your start screen that you have version 10.3.43 and, if not, re-do the download to get the correct version. Again, this only affects the Mac Fastspring download and nothing else, and the problem should resolve itself in the next few hours.

Your existing savegames will be compatible with the updated game. Some of the fixes will only work on new games, but we believe

This hotfix addresses a few issues with 10.3.39 that we didn't want to leave unfixed until the next full update in February, particularly the problem with some US leagues not being shown on the playable league setup screen, as well as some issues with foreign player limits for teams not native to the league's primary country.

Changes:

-fixed the unselectable US leagues during setup when making playable league choices
-foreign player limits for teams not from main nation is now set properly for all leagues; additionally, that setting is now used correctly by the lineup popup warnings for human GM's, e.g. teams like Dinamo Minsk won't get it while they have >3 foreign players, but rather only when they have the correct >20 amount
-clicking the history tab for the Div III Junior Championship no longer crashes the game
-fixed some issues with the manager notes system that could cause a crash when selecting some notes and make other notes undeletable through the normal delete function
-made a change to the Player data section of the boxscore that should hopefully fix the issue where some users could not see the player names - we're not sure this will be 100% effective for everyone, as there seems to be some variation between what our testers are seeing, but it does seem to work in most cases - if there are further issues, we'll follow up on this in the next update

Finally, a note: I just discovered tonight that the change we made in the update to enable custom tournament editing seems to have also enabled editing for real tournaments (the Memorial Cup, Champions League, Spengler Cup, etc.) This wasn't intended, and we're going to have to disable it in the next update, as any editing of those tournaments will likely break them. Until then, be aware that any editing of those tournaments is going to have very unpredictable consequences; basically, don't do it if you want them to keep working.

Out of curiosity, are there any data updates (ratings, error fixes, etc.) to the current quickstart? I assume they will wait for the next update but always wondered if there is a running set of small changes that gets added to hotfixes with what you have since the last update that just isn't significant enough to mention.

Unfortunately this did not fix the problem for me.

I still can't see the players' names.
--------------------------------

Actually it works ok for me now.
The Player's name column is minimized so I can't see it at first but I can expand it manually to view the players' names.

Thanks.

None in the hotfix, those normally only get changed in the full update unless there's an urgent problem.

I hope we can set age limit when setting up custom leagues instead of having to edit it after game creation

Just not sure what the best place to post this stuff so apologies for reposting from a different thread..

In my NCAA save the regionals are being weird, in that the matchups are having everybody play six games in a day. On top of that, the team who won more games doesn't even always move on (they had a better goal differential in the series as well, so idk what it could have been). Finally, conference tournaments use general standings rather than conference standings for the tournament seeding, could prob use a fix. TIA
