PT Elite Cards not in missions?

Greetings!

I have grinded all the PT Elite team missions but I have noticed some other ones pop up in perfect drafts ( alonso, skubal, etc...). Is there a way to grind these in missions or are they packs only?

I believe those were a part of the ones that are pack only.

Yes

The cards listed in the CS as PT Elite that aren't in missions are packs only. The PT Elites that are tourney rewards are listed as Tournament Rewards with a 2023 playing season. If you add them all together, I think it comes up to 2 per team. My guess is that these cards will be involved in the year-end missions where the super-duper cards are finally awarded.

They actually haven't released two per team. Some teams already have four cards, even, 21 teams have at least two, and 9 teams still have only one card. I did the breakdown after they released the PT packable series and the tourney rewards.

Here are the 9 teams that have only one card and the card(s) I expect them to release:

AZ Diamondbacks - Zac Gallen seems like the only option here.

NY Yankees - Gerrit Cole might be some kind of topper, but he is definitely coming. I'm also expecting an Aaron Judge, since he had 5.6 WAR and was 2nd Team All MLB even after missing a ton of games.

Seattle Mariners - Julio Rodriguez is definitely coming; also hoping to see a George Kirby, who had an historic season with his control.

SF Giants - Thairo Estrada or Patrick Bailey, hard to say who they're second card will be; betting it's one of these two. Patrick Bailey could make a nice Silver or Gold catcher card.

Oakland A's - Brent Rooker. There are no great options here really, but Rooker hit 30 HRs, so he seems like the obvious choice.

Chicago Cubs - Cody Bellinger obviously will have a PT Elite card after his crazy comeback year. Dansby Swanson could also get a card.

Toronto Blue Jays - Kevin Gausman is the no-brainer here.

Boston Red Sox - Rafael Devers is another no-brainer.

Milwaukee Brewers - William Contreras is my pick; had a much stronger season than his brother, who we have a card for - and it'd be cool to have the duo. Yelich is another candidate.

Otherwise, we can obviously expect to get an Acuna Jr. topper, as well as a Felix Bautista and Mookie Betts, considering their amazing seasons.

And there's a possibility for several others as well, but at a minimum we'll get 9 new cards for those 9 teams + the 3 mentioned above.

Let me know what you guys think.

Yes

I opened my mouth before doing the research. I came to pretty much the same conclusions you did. I thought the Giants might get an Elite Camilo Doval though.

Cubs - Swanson and Belli are locks, probably one will be an overall topper.

Brewers - In addition to Contreras and Yeli, Burnes and Wade Miley might be possibles.

Devers (Red Sox), Rooker (A's), and Gausman (Jays) seem like obvious choices.

D'Backs might get Marte and Moreno as well as Gallen. It seems like getting to the WS ought to get you more than 2 Elite cards.

Yankees surely getting Cole and Judge.

Mariners should get Rodriguez and Kirby.

As far as overall goes, I think after they add 9 guys to the solo teams, it will be one perfect topper per division - Harper, Judge, Belli, Jose Ramirez, Gallen, and Trout look like the candidates to me. Then league and overall toppers look like Julio, Swanson, and Cole.

Maybe Moreno, but definitely not expecting another Marte for the same reason I don't expect Corey Seager or Adolis Garcia - we got 2023 special edition Baseball Reference cards for those three. Otherwise, all three would be locks to show up.

I agree with a lot of your general predictions here.

Based on what we got today:

To have two for every team we still need:

an Oakland A (Rooker), a Giant (Duval, Estrada or Bailey), a Blue Jay (Gausman), and a Yankee (Cole is obviously coming, Judge, too?) so a few gold/silver ones left and definitely a few more packables it would seem.

Plus, we'll obviously be getting an Acuna and a Felix Bautista, certainly end game cards after what that Betts looked like. I'd also be shocked if we don't get a Cody Bellinger and a Zac Gallen considering their elite seasons.

What do you guys think?
