When baseball started making changes, the great game lost the spotlight to football. Baseball was built on tradition, not fads. They try to run it like a Ringling Brothers center ring act now.

True. Complete with stretching out the post-season awards through the end of November. Vote, announce, and be done with it the day after the Series wraps. By the time they announce relievers of the year, nobody's paying attention. And don't get me started on advertising patches for uniforms, which just screams low-class.

iMHO, the game has hit an all time low...It's one thing to lose in a reverse sweep, but its another to lose in a reverse sweep against a team that is fielding a incomplete team. How does a team without a viable ss/3b(meaning 24 of 26 roster spots filled) win a game let alone a round.

They were outscored by more than 20 runs in a 7 game series. The Yankees had the Series MVP. No, not Mantle, Not Berra, not Maris, not Ford. Bobby freaking Richardson.

For my money, that series makes anything that happens on this site look pretty ho-hum, and I was 10 years old and had spent all my life in the Pittsburgh area. Of course, as a 10 year old who had lived 20 miles north of Pittsburgh for as much of his life as he could remember, I thought it was great. Then math took over my life.

So what? I won a daily tournament this past week thanks to a reverse sweep in my favor in the semis. Life is a lot more fun if you savor the good things and toss the bad out with the garbage.
