Was trying to figure out how someone went 144-18 in Silver League and found they had all Perfects and used to be in Diamond/Perfect League.

Are players allowed to drop leagues deliberately? I don't see any other way they could've gone from Diamond to Iron in four weeks.

Is it allowed, probably not. This time of year, people do wonky things with their teams. It could be a blatant attempt to skirt the system and rack up PP so they could build a better team( Dont see why they would do it) or they decided to make their team a "theme" team and that's the results of whatever theme they choose. Report them, and let the dev's do the work.

No it's not supposed to be. Do the mods do anything about it? TBD. I'm not convinced. I reported a team in my league this season for something similar. They were in Perfect 10 seasons ago. Then 2 seasons later they purposely tanked down to Iron, then restacked their team to win all the way back up to Gold so far. It's not fun for the rest of us.

Bottom line: report the team on the right side of their team screen, but don't expect any action this season. I've never seen any team punished mid-season in all the years I've played.
