AI trading 1st round pick for older players in off season who then retire
In my last season, during the off-season I traded a player who was 38 or so for several reasons but one was I was offered a 1st round pick.
That player then retired a month or two later when I advanced to the next season so that team was out the player and their 1st round pick.
Is there any thought to making it so an older player who is traded in the offseason for a 1st (maybe also 2nd round) pick won't retired without playing at least one season with his new team?
I suppose there's a chance said player could get traded again for a 1st round pick but that's probably rare - eventually the player stats should fall below a 1st round pick threshold.
Thanks for considering.
