Does anyone use 3 sub leagues

I am thinking about going to 3 sub leagues. Has anyone tried this if so how did you set up the playoffs? I have a bad idea. Top 2 teams in each League make the playoffs and play each other in a 7 game series
Of the remaining 3 teams the one with the best record has a bye and the other 2 play for the other world series spot

OOTP only allows for a maximum of 2 sub-leagues per league.

In order to accomplish this, you have to create three separate leagues (e.g., not one league with two subleagues). Once the three leagues are set up all wihin the same "game," go to the "Game" menu and select "Create League Association." You then associate each league together, and it takes you to the playoff setup from there.

Wish they would allow for more sub-leagues. That way a proper AAA system could be modled.

Do associations work, I have heard on here that they are laden with issues?

This is not to say there are no issues, but I haven't encountered any.
