Could words describe Zach Wilson's career better than this clip?

I'm curious, Ragnar. Now that you got to see a full picture of the Panthers, what do you think now of the "talent" surrounding Bryce Young?

Make adjustments and stop running the same failed system out there. I don't even think these decisions come from the head coach because of some of the interviews he has given.
I think it's pretty simple what the reason for the Jets' stubbornness on the Wilson thing is. At this point, they know that any move to definitively bench him means he's done. The fans hate him, the media clowns on the team for sticking by him, and all rightfully so because he has been atrocious. But the team and specifically the current brain trust has invested so much in him that they're worried to absolutely make the move that spells the death knell on his tenure with the team because, unfair as it may be, if the Jets miss the playoffs and have to finally admit the Zach Wilson pick was a flop, that costs Joe Douglas and probably Robert Saleh their jobs this offseason.

Also, one small aside because I've seen a decent amount of people (not here but overall) make the point of 'what's the point of bringing in Trevor Siemian?'; I don't really understand the people that are actually confused by that because the intentions of the move feel pretty obvious, he was signed to the practice squad to provide depth. On no other team in the NFL would the decision to carry a player of Siemien's pedigree and caliber on said team's practice squad factor in any legitimate QB discussion that didn't involve a (very recent) major injury. The clear and obvious point of signing Siemien was to get a 3rd healthy QB in the QB room as almost every team tries to have, it's not like he's somebody with a legitimate resume stuck behind the boy who can't be benched because it'll cost people jobs.

Texas is not a good football team, but Stroud has arm talent and for the most part makes good decisions.
You have to hold off on Young. There's nothing anyone can glean from a game against the Cowboys on one of the worst offenses in the league. Tua didn't look any better in his first year. How do you think Dak would look on Carolina? I know because I've seen Dak play without a #1 WR.

Some players are easier to tell than others. A lot of these QBs are just a roll of the dice.

Think about it, what draft analysis is going to tell you how a QB going from Alabama to Carolina is going to play? That's like going from Alabama to Rutgers. Think if you were standing 50 feet away from a 500 pound gorilla, but you had a mini gun. You like your chances. But if someone took that gun away, and replaced it with a dull butter knife, that's Bryce Young right now.

I understand all of this, but when is enough enough? He's been starting since week 1. It's the same thing every week. Even in victory Wilson looks terrible. In order to win, the defense has to play lights out, and the offense can't turn the ball over. Nothing to do with Zach Wilson's play.

They should have replaced Wilson going into the Chargers game. Now it's too late. Did anyone watch the Giants? DeVito, undrafted free agent actually looked halfway decent. He threw 3 touchdown passes in one game. Wilson has 6 all season.

I think the head coaching job is safe for one more year. I think they want to keep everything in tact for when Rodgers returns next season.

That is why I don't get commentators calling Bryce a bust. He has nothing redeemable on his side of the ball. There is not one starter you could take off that team & say he would automatically start for a minimum of half of the rest of the NFL franchises. I would not resign one player on offense for next year. Mingo's "effort" on Dallas's pick 6 shows you how hard Young's WR's are working to get open.

I'm right there with ya, enough has been enough in my eyes for quite a while now. Saleh could potentially keep his job, but imo Douglas probably won't, and to me there isn't a worse lame duck situation than having a new GM that doesn't get to pick their head coach. I don't want Douglas to go, besides the Wilson pick he's been an above average GM for the Jets which makes him far and away the best one the team has had this century, but I believe that he'd be out if the team had to fully admit failure on the Wilson pick.

Don't be surprised if that's not the case. I actually think Wilson will start next week.

The Cleveland Browns have reportedly signed 38 year old Joe Flacco to their practice squad. Meanwhile, 36 year old Colin Kaepernick is still blacklisted (pun intended). I laughed out loud...

However, the Bengals are said to be interested in Kaepernick. So maybe there is hope.

Flacco played last year, whereas CK hasn't taken a snap in 7 years... Plus, CK wasn't blacklisted. He was not a good enough player to be worth the controversy (and alienation he would bring to a significant portion of any team's fan base). If he was an elite player, he'd still be playing... assuming he actually wants to; over those 7 years he's shown plenty of indications that he's not serious about a comeback... Perhaps his dumbest move was declining his $14.5m option back for the 2017 season. It was common knowledge that he - from purely a football perspective - he wasn't worth anything near that on the open market.

Will be interesting to see if there's actually real interest on both the Bengals' and CK's part...

Week 12 of 17 NFL observations ---
** Head Coaches on hot seat **
- Ron Rivera - Washington .. new owners changes need to be made possible Sean Desai Assistant at Seattle was with Philly so knows division.

- New England --- they have to look the team is not making any steps forward

- Brandon Staley - Chargers ... It is LA market even with injuries the talent is good . question game decisions. *** likely replacement Eric Bieniemy

- ???? Chicago Bears .. to Jim Harbaugh or Brian Flores ......

QB comments -
Bryce Young -- not a strong NFL arm but is he a bust or Joe Montana / Peyton Manning

Zach Wilson -- == Josh Rosen - Sam Darnold - etc.

Jordan Love -- career backup solid in limited action but not a winning NFL QB

Dak Prescott -- has to have lots of talent around him

Matt Stafford -- injuries have caught up with him the Rams likely got his last good year

Teams most disappointed in this year @ week 12 .... New York Giants - LA Rams - LasVegas - Seattle - Carolina - Chargers - Green Bay - Chicago
