Moving saved game from computer to computer

I apologize if this has been asked, but what is the best way to have one saved game moving from computer to computer? I believe I saw that FHM does not support cloud saves, but can I just copy a save and move it on a flash drive? If so, where would I find the save? If I can't figure this out, I may have to resort to actually doing work when I am at work, and we don't want that happening! Thanks much!

The saves are in the saved_games folder, by default it'll be in your documents folder, e.g. \Documents\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 10\saved_games on Windows (if you go to the start screen, click on settings, and then troubleshooting and "open customizable data folder", it'll open to the parent folder of the saved_games folder.) Just copy the whole folder with the save's name (it'll end with an .lg extension) from that folder to the new location.

I would suggest using OneDrive or similar cloud storage solution with an app. You can set it up so that it either automatically uploads specific folders or files into the cloud every time a change is made to them, or at least with OneDrive (but probably with other services as well), you can also set it up so that it synchronizes the folders/files - meaning it pushes the newest version of the file to all devices that have this synchronization turned on.

If you have Windows 10 device(s) or newer, you should have a free edition of OneDrive with it, I believe. It's restricted to 10GB of data, but that's more than enough to transfer FHM saves. If you use a different OS, you may want to look into other cloud services (iCloud for Mac OS/Apple devices, etc.). Most of them tend to have a restricted "free version" with a couple gigs storage, which is handy for any games without Steam cloud saves support.

OneDrive actually caused all of the issues which required the developers to include the ability to specify a non default installation path this year - I'd caution using OneDrive or even advising it's use.

Sorry, I wasn't aware.

Is the info what specific issues it caused available publicly, and if so, where? I'd like to take a look at what happened.

It wasn't so much a development problem, the problem is the save files for FHM get larger over time and so when people are using OneDrive for personal things and then the game starts getting uploaded to it, it can eat up a lot of that space. So with FHM10 you can customize where you want it so that doesn't happen for people.

Yep, as Adam has said - it was also causing some sync issues in our online league.

It wasn't the size. A lot of people use OneDrive as the single location for their Documents folder (i.e. nothing on their PC, everything on the cloud.) With FHM writing a lot of data to some files very frequently, that'd inevitably lead to some corruption when they had an interruption in their connection, breaking a lot of saves. We were getting an increasing number of reports of corrupted saves with each version, and, as Tom said, it was becoming a problem for online leagues as well when they were trying to sync their members' files and some had broken/wrong data..

Just using OneDrive to transfer a save from one computer to another shouldn't be a problem, though.
