Also up on REA auctions is this cabinet photo of Pinkney, purportedly from his rookie season of 1884. I had never seen the 1884 Cleveland uniform before so this is an amazing find.

Facepack upgrade, pictured with the 1915 Omaha Rourkes from the 4/11/1915 edition of the Omaha Daily Bee. He sprained his ankle early on and was released in May without playing for them. Aiton later became famous in the boxing world as a manager for the aging James J. Jeffries.
