End of season heartbreak

I've been managing the Portland Greens in a fictional league for 14 in-game seasons now. I play a 108 game schedule. I've never won my division, and the last two seasons I've had to play a tie-breaking 109th game against the Boise Peanuts and have lost both games. The first year, I at least managed to win the wild-card, so I wasn't that pressed about it, but this year those pesky Peanuts eliminated me from playoff contention.

I can only imagine the pain my fans feel, especially when interacting with any Boise fans that have the ultimate bragging rights on my franchise for years to come. This game is great, that is all!

Anyone else have a similar experience with late season heartbreak to the same team?

I had a fictional league where my divisional nemesis the Jacksonville Sharks took out my Birmingham Blazers two straight years. Just when I thought I was rising above, Jacksonville fell off due to FA losses etc, and the doormat up and coming Nashville Knights took over and did the same to me the next Two out of three years

At no time in that five year span was I out at the end of season by more than 1 game and two of them went to Tie breaks. The one year I was able to win division

What a hair raising five year stretch

In my Tigers save, I've had multiple nemesis in the playoffs. I never won the WS once in over 20 years (despite making them 4 times), and in the AL playoffs in particular, I can't count the amount of times I've lost to the Oakland Athletics, who somehow built an absolute powerhouse team.
