Exclamation FHM9 - Bug - Signable Players

So. Online League. Just finished the Initial Draft. Minimum draft age is set to 19 (because the game for some reason can't handle age cut-off day in custom league mode).

I go to Free Agents, sort by signable, and get this on the screen.

Why can I sign 17 year olds to a league that operates with a minimum draft age at 19? What is this???

Is this one of these odd things that happens in a custom league once, at start-up, and then disappears? Or will this be a thing every season?

I'm not seeing this when I try to replicate it, I can only sign players past draft age at that point. Might be something in your league settings than I haven't set up the same way, if you can upload the save I'll take a look and try to see what's going on there.

The signable players seem to have been created with their GHL league rights set to Free rather than None, which makes them signable (and ineligible for the draft.) I've been trying to figure out how that happened, but no luck so far; there's no obvious commonality between them that would suggest a single source. They do tend to be significantly worse than normal; about 25% of the 14-17 player group is like this, but only 1% of the 14-17 players with 3-star potential or above.

The good news is, it seems to be related to the starting setup, and doesn't reoccur when new players are generated. The simplest thing for you to do would probably be to do a player search with the filter set to age 14-17, minimum potential 3.0, and Global Hockey League league rights set to Free. Then, edit each of the players so their GHL rights are set to None. It's only about 17 players, so that should be manageable (or 44 if you change the potential cutoff to 2.5.) That'll keep your GM's from taking anybody with good potential from that extra pool of players.

Too late. Some of them are signed already.

Good thing it wont re-occur.

I can confirm that this is NOT a one-time thing. July 3rd, one year in to the save, and there are still 17 year olds available to sign.
