Contact Play Needs To Be Added To Offensive Controls

As someone who plays out every game of my franchises games batter by batter I have noticed that something should be added as a strategy on offense. There is no contact play option. It would be very easy to add. There is even room on the current menu list if you took out "Send Forced" because if a runner is forced to run they would be going anyway. You could also add a checkbox for the contact play at the bottom of the offensive menu similar to the first baseman hold runner that you have now on the defensive menu.
The contact play is a fundamental part of baseball and while it is not a play that is used a lot it has its uses and strategic importance. For instance it is much more common than steal home.
OOTP is a wonderful game and tons of fun to play. I think this addition would make it better. Anyone else feel this way? Comments welcome!

I've thought about this in the past but never posted. I like the idea

and would hope/think, with the plethora of data now kept and analyzed, that they could build a realistic model.

The checkbox is a good idea and wouldn't affect anything else.

What I don't like is the suggestion to remove a feature. Once a feature is in the game I don't favor removal unless someone can show how it breaks/hurts the game.

In this case "Send Forced" was added as players complained their base-stealers could never get a jump. This allows those players the option to force the situation with more risk of being thrown out. While it seems you wouldn't miss the SF feature it would be removing something others use.
