Stuck on Loading Screen

Hi everyone,

For any moderators that can help I uploaded my game files to ootp support under the title “mlbnfl Baltimore 2023”.

I am having trouble having the game load up the last few days. The initial screen loads up, but when I try to load my save it freezes at "Loading players" and will go no further. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, still freezing at the same point. I even tried to start a new save to see if it would load, but it got stuck as well (I believe at "loading teams").

Anything I can do? The file is not corrupted, but would going through troubleshooting help in any way? Admittedly I am on a slow, old computer. I deleted all my old saves to see if that would help. If anyone has any ideas, I am all ears.

Hey all. I see I am supposed to upload league files. I will do so later today, sorry about that. If there is an easy fix someone is aware of though please let me know.

Hi everyone,

So it seems I was confused and the league files would be sent to ootp directly, but it was a bit confusing for me. A little update incase anyone has encountered this and knows what I should do.

I saw in an old reddit post that someone had a similar issue in a prior version, and eventually when they clicked close on the program that it loaded up. After letting it sit frozen forever, I hit close and the game actually loaded. Problem is my entire organization was effectively player-less, with everyone being named Joe Unknown if I am not mistaken. I believe this is a more known issue, anything I can do to fix it?

I'd search for ways go back to a prior auto-save point. I'd be worried those Joe Unknowns now ARE your league absent a prior save point.

That would not be great that's for sure. My only hope in thinking that may not be the case is the fact that this freezing is happening even when attempting to start a new save (during the load screen). Nonetheless it has been an issue for a few days so hoping I can figure something out. I don't have a backup but I did have to fix a corrupted file the other day so maybe I still have those files from that prior point.
