A Note On Today's Mariano Rivera Card

Hey guys!

If you caught the TWIPT stream today, we released a new 94 OVR Mariano Rivera card that had just one pitch on it, a Cutter. Unfortunately, it was found by many players after release that because he only had one pitch in his arsenal, the game prevented him from being able to fill a role in teams' bullpens, thus rendering it unplayable. This was something that did not show up in testing beforehand, but showed up when the card was released.

To remedy this issue, the team has added a fastball to his arsenal, and have balanced the fastball and cutter to keep the Stuff rating in line with what was shown on stream to the best that the two pitches allowed. The result is a +2 bump to Stuff vR, while there is also a -1 MOV vL change to 112.

Below is a before and after of Mariano's card stats because of this change. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Still not working. Here’s my screenshot from a moment ago. Please don’t destroy Mo’s cutter rating!! It’s one of the best pitches of all-time!!! 112 is more appropriate. Hoffman’s change elite
Ryan’s fastball elite
Mariano’s cutter elite

If they were on the roster before the change, I think you have to fully remove them (probably fully inactive or on the card shop) for at least a sim, before you get the change when they reactivate. Try doing that, and it should work.

Please consider Mariano's cutter is now an 86...and is one of the best pitches in Baseball History.

Hoffman's Change-up is a 128...

It has not worked. I kept him inactive for 14 days and reinserted him. Still have the old 1-pitch Mariano and cannot put him in a role.

Update: had to try selling the card for a new download. That worked.

Another Update...

It worked for PC, then I went on mobile using the same user name and PW and it's now back to the original Mariano again!!

HELP!

Mobile be mobile...what it looks like for you on PC is what it should be. Don't fret it. Sometimes mobile just doesn't like talking with the PC version
