Development Leagues - Firing / Hiring GMs every day
Hi.
In all my development leagues, in the first year of play, and in the off-season, the Development Leagues are hiring and firing all of the GMs every single day. I've added a screenshot of the issue. Thank you. |

Was wondering... I'm I the only one who's seen this type of behavior in the constant firings of the GMs in all Development Leagues. I currently have 5 Dev Leagues, and they all go through this. I'm into end of May (2 full months) post opening day of my Major League, and all my development leagues are still, daily, firing and re-hiring all GMs. Also,,, when I look at all previous GMs for a team (Transaction page), they ALL still show as GM of the respective teams. So, although only 1 is currently active GM for a specific team, all previous GMs that were fired, still show as GM for that team in the GM Person profile. It's so odd.
It's unfortunate, i put a lot of effort into this league, and I think i'm going to have to dump it, and restart, but this time, without any Dev leagues as there is a definite issue here. Thanks. If i'm the only one, would love to know what I did wrong... anyway.. Thanks... |

You're not the only one, I've seen that happen too. It was happening a lot in one of my leagues. Haven't seen it happening in my currently league, but just added my first DL a few seasons ago and haven't been paying close attention to it.
I doubt this is related, but worth a shot. Do you have the affiliated teams set to fixed, or random? The league I saw it happening a lot in had random affiliations set, my newest one has fixed affiliations. Last edited by snepp; 08-23-2023 at 12:58 AM. |

If anyone has a league experiencing this, please upload it (https://support.ootpdevelopments.com...p-developments) and that's the best way for us to see what might be going on.

I'll pull up that other league it was happening in and do a little simming to see if it's still occurring.

Thanks Matt.. I've uploaded my league file. It's called "dlefe13 dev league issue". Take a look at the "NABA Prospect League - DL". It's the worse of the dev leagues i have.

oh an snepp, i do have it as "fixed", not auto. Thanks for the reply btw... it helped. I've uploaded my league file. Hopefully, Matt's team can find something.

Been doing some poking around in that older league, I don't see the massive hiring like it did when I initially created them (used to look just like your screenshot), but there are still multiple occurrences of DL teams signing multiple general managers and/or managers.
What's curious is that the previously hired personnel aren't actually getting "fired". They aren't entering the free agent pool and still show as being on the team in their profile, while the new hire is shown on the team personnel page. Last edited by snepp; 08-23-2023 at 10:13 PM. |

Good to hear. If you need the copy of my league file I can do that, but I'm guessing you won't see anything that his doesn't show already.

I think this was fixed in one of the previous releases. I believe that made it into the 24.9 build cycle, but it may have been missed from the changelist.
