Rarity 19. Some serious white knuckling on the DBacks, as usual. I knew their players on the first few seasons, so my knowledge pool for that team is pretty limited.

My worst disaster yet; I won't even bother posting.
However, a question? Are the 1902 Orioles no longer considered a Yankees precursor team? Because I got a no for using them as such, which confused me. |

Ah, fungo. 107
There was a lot of traffic between the decaying Tigers and the decrepit Red Sox of the 1920s, but that doesn't excuse mixing up the two walkons I was thinking of. Should have just gone with my first guess, the 20-game winner, honestly. (Also, Bill Terry was a chickenspit guess, so perhaps I deserved this. Feh.) Rarity 1. I thought I had a truly obscure Red Sox/Giant in Randy Kutcher, but apparently more people than I thought remembered that.

Rarity 117. It's disheartening that I can have a decent result and then throw it away by mixing up two sets of Senators. Disheartening, but sadly not unprecedented. (Also disheartening that I now realize the same player would have been an improvement on three separate selections here. Not that I could have used him for all three, of course.) And I'm a bit shocked by the turn-out of the Jim Delahanty Fan Club, I admit. |

Career: As long as player played at least one game for team, that team can be included in the milestone. Therefore, Parker can only win a batting title with the Pirates. But if we're talking about a career 3,000 hit guy, any of the teams he played for is in play. Also, averages (like batting average) do not have a minimum plate appearances qualifier, both for single season, and career, which makes Charlie Montoyo an excellent pick for the Washington Nationals, both for single season, and career .300+ average. |

Rarity 4. Probably could've thought longer about the Mets All Star pick.

And it is a 3-way tie! Rarity 4
Does this mean I should always do these in the middle of the night, after a stressful day? Naaaaah. |

113. Done in by poor Royals choices and a failed stretch.
No, Sam Jethroe did not make the ASG, even though he won ROY. I guess it was "Spahn and Sain and sit down, son" that year. (Fred Frankhouse? Wow.) At least I finally got to salute Sam Rice's single season by the lake, but still. |

Rarity 7. Any day where you get to type "Togie Pittinger" is a good day.

Funny that each of us had a different "Last Stop, Kansas City!" Hall member.
You say "Togie Pittinger", I say "Ben Cantwell". I don't care if it costs me .01 more. I am deeply shamed about Vean Gregg, but the fact that Sarge was a 30-game winner made me curious about how he would score. |
