Wander Franco and Julio Urias are missing from the current Live Start, created/downloaded today with the current version 24.9.80.

Probably not a bug as it may have more to do with whether their union status has been suspended

Yet there is no patch from MLB the show removing either player. Also, fanatics is still pushing out digitial cards of both in the Topps bunt app. Franco was just in a set that released late last week

Those players have both been placed on MLB administrative leave, so not on any roster (40 man included).

Live start is based on current organizational rosters, and they're not on one.

I don't recall Trevor Bauer or the ped guys being removed in previous year's live starts.

Admin status does not remove them from their organization. It's just another status like the IL.

I just noticed that Max Scherzer is now listed as a free agent.

Players on the Admin list still get paid. Not having them available screws up finances, among other things.

I understand it messes that kind of thing up, but OOTP doesn't currently have a league administrative leave list to mirror what the MLB has.

Maybe they could tweak live start to place those players on an indefinite suspension instead and use the restricted list ability that's in the game.

Or it's a bug. They could just suspend the player for the rest of the year. If the player returns before the end of the year, they can fix his status in a future live start.

This did not happen last year with Bauer. Something changed.
