Fixed many issues with live start rosters, injuries. Would that require a new game to see the fixes?

Seeing some issues still happening with two-way player demands, both IRL and fictional. I have a fictional league where top 2-ways aren't demanding more than $12M AAVs and neither was offered a qualifying offer.
However, my caveat for the fictional league is that it was created long before the patch (24.7.86, I believe) that resolved this issue. Is the two-way contract asks bug fix retroactive, or only on files created on or after the date of the new patch? |

Coach relationships are still wrong. The major league coaches show their relationships to the DSL team

Not every two way player will demand the moon, it's hard to say exactly what the impact ends up being. Most of the changes tended to apply more to the top end of the spectrum (ie. Ohtani-like two way players). If the player is more average (like if Lorenzen developed into like an OK outfielder and did both, but neither elite), then most of the recent changes wouldn't really impact them much. |

"Fixed not being allowed to offer up to arbitration estimate" - appreciate that.
Matt, was the calculation with gate share adjusted that we spoke about? I don't see that on the list.

On historical exhibitions, whether loaded in exhibition mode or reloaded not in historical exhibition mode, lots of players on teams from 2020-2022 have the lowest possible fielding rating, as opposed to way too high, like it was before. Their range is set all the way down.

What are your player evals at? Does he have the numbers to back up the ratings?
I just saw someone posting an Ohtani free agent demand on reddit yesterday, was asking for a 10yr/600M-ish deal. I haven't had a high quality 2-way guy hit free agency for a long time in my current league, so I don't have any recent first-hand frame of reference. |

Minor thing but please, for the love of god, fix the bug where players on the 60 Day IL list can lose their numbers. Nothing ruins immersion quite like a future HOF pitcher switching numbers in the prime of his career because he blew out his knee in September and a journeyman utility infielder decided to take his number.

Some animations are better, like the balls hit to the pitcher and the bounces. Nice

Gotcha, thought that was cleaned up in one of those last couple patches.

@ Ball levitation issue.
The ball is doing the same thing with infielders, mostly after the ball is thrown to them from outfield after an out. The ball sits on the outside of the glove for about a second then pops snugly into the glove as it should have been. So instead of the levitation it looks like it is sticking to the glove then pops in. I am not picky and overall this years update looks great but ball going into the glove after a catch is a pretty fundamental function of baseball...so to have it keep occuring on about 70percent of balls thrown back in from the outfield can accumulate to an immesion killer of the whole 3d visual for those who enjoy watching out games. I believe I was one of the ones to really open this issue (Logolab77) which I also provided screenshots for in the bug report section. Last edited by Logolab77; 09-09-2023 at 10:17 PM. |

Draft Picks Not Returning to College?
https://i.imgur.com/XqbyUds.jpg
Not specifically related to the new changes, but I was wondering if this was the expected behavior for unsigned college players. Basically, I had the number 2 overall pick, but wanted to holdout for next year and get a comp pick at 3 because I saw a couple prospects I liked way more next year. Not guaranteed to get them, but I figured it was worth a shot and worst case scenario I could probably draft the above pitcher again. He was only 21 at time of draft with only a single year of college stats due to when he was generated, and I thought he would return to college for 1 more year. However, he appears to have instantly became a free agent and signed a minor league contract after failing to sign. If the expected behavior is to become a free agent when failing to sign, this could be easily exploited. Just draft an older college player with your yearly pick, fail to sign them and get a comp pick back, then just sign the player to a major league contract when they are a free agent.

I believe in MLB rules, you have to have offered them at least a portion of the slot value in order to get the compensation pick. I don't believe we have that criteria in the game right now, but certainly something we can also look at adding down the road. |

Conversely, Noda was not a good pitcher despite good pitching ratings, but despite the low financial ambition, you'd think he would ask for more than $12-14M on Day 1 of FA (he did the same last OS). He's coming off a 6.2 WAR year and could easily demand $25M-$30M+/year if he wanted to off that alone, but he's never done so in arb or FA. Given Vanegas' high pay back when he was a more reliable 2-way, I think some of the issues have been fleshed out, but there are more to investigate, especially for guys who are flamed-out 2-ways like Noda but are still stars on one side of the ball. |
