Another question on free agents
So, attempting to sign a free agent.
He wants a minor to major option for $60,000 which is way under the MLB minimum. What happens if he is promoted? MLB minimum or $60,000? I offered him that minor to major deal but the game doesn't allow it Last edited by Jasper70; 09-05-2023 at 10:35 PM. |

The $60,000 is a bonus. If the player gets called up to MLB they will make the league minimum (prorated for the days they are up).

Two options for minor contracts.
Minor w/major league option (something > minimum typically), no signing bonus, and they can opt for FA if not promoted within 30 days of season start. Minor w/signing bonus, they can't opt for FA, and will get league minimum if promoted. |
