Perfect Team/Perfect Draft Crashes every time.
I've never had an issue running this game until...
I got a new laptop and installed OotP24. The first day, Perfect Draft worked just fine. Now, when I click on Perfect Team, the game gets to the end of it's loading thing [pic attached], then crashes. Every single time. When I sign up for a Perfect Draft, I can sign up without issue. However, when I click the "Draft Team" button, the game opens the draft screen, does the load thing, and crashes. Every single time. If I wait 20 minutes for the draft portion to time out(in which case I have drafted 0 players, of course) I can click on the "Submit Team" button and it opens up just fine, though there is of course nothing to do on this screen, as I have no players. I started a normal, Standard League just to see if that worked, and that seemed to work just fine. I simulated a couple months of the season, then went into an individual game and it played perfectly fine. I have reinstalled OotP. I have reinstalled Steam. I have updated drivers. I have rebooted. Etc etc etc. One thing that may be the culprit: When I first set up this laptop, I set it up with an old email address. I then added the correct account, made that account Admin, and deleted the original account. I have no idea if this matters, but just before it crashes, the game appears to be searching for files that it can't find. I don't know if it's looking for a path the routes to the older account or what... Anyway, attached is a pic of the last screen I get to see before the game simply shuts down without warning. Also attached is a debug trace file in which I simply loaded the game and clicked the Perfect Team button, which resulted in the expected crash. Thanks you! McM |

It could be an issue trying to write to a local folder. I would suggest going into the settings, the expert tab, and checking what location you have set for the data path. As well on the troubleshooting tab, to check what your path for saved games are. From the trace it's trying to write to a OneDrive folder, so I wonder if there may be something where Windows is failing to write to a specific spot in your drive.

Fixed.
The path was blank. I clicked and picked the Data folder, and now all is right again. I figured it was a path issue, but in all my searching, I didn't click the Expert tab. ![]() Thanks! McM |
