If you play OOTP on a Mac, I need help finding files for uniforms/logos

I've recently switched back to playing OOTP on my MacBook and I'm having trouble finding my graphics files that I keep in my iCloud folder. I'm trying to select a logo in the game, but when I navigate up my iCloud folder is nowhere to be found.

EDIT:

For clarity, I am not trying to install OOTP or set any default OOTP directories to iCloud. I'm only trying to access files in a higher directory ( to the left).

When you go to load a logo, you can click "Up" to navigate to directories outside of OOTP. On Windows, I don't have an issue navigating to any directory on the system. But on Mac, if I click "Up" when I'm on the screenshot labeled "1", it takes me to screenshot labeled "2".

I hope this clears up the issue.

Do you mean like the logos folder within the game where you can put custom logos? Try navigating to Settings -> Troubleshooting -> "Open folder containing customizable data"

The logos folder should be there.

Try making a copy of the folder and files, and place it in the OOTP 24 folder.

I know moving the files there would mean I could see them. But the question remains: How do we navigate to files in an iCloud folder?

This should be easy to do. I really don't think the answer is for us to maintain files in two locations.

I am not sure we can...which is why I copied mine to the OOTP 24 folder.

I do not have an issue with iCloud. The issue is OOTP not being able to access my iCloud files.

Just curious, do you use OOTP on a Mac and if so, are you able to navigate to files in your iCloud directory?

I use OOTP on a Mac but do not have my files in iCloud directory. My files are installed in the directory displayed in the attached screenshot. I don't believe OOTP has the functionality to access files from iCloud within the game application.

That’s the game directory. That’s not what I’m trying to find.

Ive never used the iCloud for OOTP. Everything stays in the containers.

You cannot access or install OOTP in iCloud.

You cannot have OOTP game directory in iCloud nor can you install the game application in iCloud either.

Just trying to help you out here fella. But you go ahead and figure it out for yourself.

Have a good day!

Once again, I am not trying to install OOTP into iCloud or set the default directory to icloud.

I think that you feel I'm being rude to you for simply trying to help. I am only telling you that you are way out in left field and misunderstanding the problem. I'll try to explain it better in my original post.

The answer has already been stated here - but with incomplete directions.

What you need to do is place the files into the OOTP 24 folder, and then in the game, navigate to that location and chose the file you want from that spot. The game will then copy the file to the correct location - be it jersey, cap or logo. You can then go back and delete the file from the OOTP 24 folder.

The in-game search feature for locating the files has never really worked on the Mac platform because Apple will not allow access into the hierarchy that the game files get placed. That's what I've been told - plus Apple keeps changing where they place things - each version of OOTP's files (seemingly) get put in a different place than the previous version - very frustrating. At least there is a relatively easy work-around.

What he says

is 100%correct. It's an Apple thing. Your best bet is to open the custom data folder (OOTP Settings:Troubleshooting Screen) and do youor moving in the Finder.

I've found the biggerst single helper to be, once I'm in the OOTP folder, press Cmd-Up Arrow and then drag the OOTP folder icon into the Dock near the righthand edge. Set the display attributes to Grid and Folder (right click on the Dock icon) and presto, easy and convenient access to all your OOTP data so you can open it and drag/drop to your hearts content,.
