Trade Deadline Suggested Improvements

Just got to my first trade deadline. I know I am a little late to the game but I finally found some time to play!

I think the timed aspect of deadline day is a cool feature. Putting managers on the clock gives some sense of urgency and I like that the timed deadline could result in managers not being able to move assets that they had planned on. I think this happens quite regularly in real life.

I did find the process almost a bit too hectic, albeit I went in blind without reading up on what to expect.

A couple of suggestions for improvement:

1. Have some form of feedback on the day before the deadline in relation to the strength of the market to managers on players that they intend to try and move at the deadline. I had four players (as a seller) that were reasonable pieces for a contending team. Turns out only one of these players had a market. If there was a feedback meter that estimated the likely interest (similar to scouting it does have to 100% accurate) of other teams in your players (for example: strong, moderate or weak) it would certainly have made it easier to navigate the limited time that there is to work out deals and would allow for roster moves to be made in advance for the players whose market is negligible.

2. For a period (maybe the month of July?) having contending AI teams valuations of players skew more to current year stats and then return to normal after the deadline. In my current save, I had three veteran outfielders, all on reasonable deals that were performing at or above their contracts. Additionally, all 3 were quality defenders, provided positional versatility and were good in the room. When shopped, all three came back with offers of only lousy minor leaguers (I asked for prospects) whose talent level didn't match up to what was currently in the free agent pool. While none of the three were worthy of A level prospects, I would expect contenders to pony up something a little better for quality veteran depth.

If contending AI teams could shift their focus away from ratings for a short time, it might make the deadline deals a lot more realistic. Not sure if anyone has tried this manually. I would be curious to know the results. I am leery of giving it a go myself (I have a limited amount of play time and don't want to 'ruin' my save).

3. Please find some way to tone down the garbage offers from the AI lol! Normally this is just a nuisance but it became more of a pronounced headache with the timed deadline. I received around 5-7 offers in one block and had to spend time looking at what were not even remotely close to reasonable offers. My personal favourite is when the AI is after one of your players and also adds one of your top prospects to their proposal. I fall for it every time, thinking this could be a blockbuster!....only to find it is next level insulting.

Cheers!
