Another Error Message
Tried to save my game again and got the message:
ERROR: Unable To Open The sqlite Database. Can someone from tech support tell me what this means and how to fix it from happening? I'm worried that I've put days into this franchise and I won't be able to save it. I can't keep my computer on forever. |

I don't know what any of your error messages mean, but it seems like you're getting quite a few of them. So if you really haven't started anything in-depth yet, which it sounds like you haven't, why not completely uninstall the game, reboot the PC then redownload it and try a fresh install.
Then, upon starting a new game try to SAVE right off the bat for you aren't getting too deep in and losing progress. |

Thanks, but I've tried all that already. And I'm months into my first year, with days/hours invested.

You're months in and haven't been able to save? You've had the game running the entire time?
I hate to say this, and I'm far from an IT guy, but normally fixing those type of issues does require exiting out of the game..... so you might be screwed |

Yeah, I wasn't sure it was saving or not. And yep, I'm screwed. Lost all that and will have to start over. Reset my PC and I'm reinstalling the game. Hopefully that works.
Thanks again. |

Totally uninstall the existing game first. Then do a PC reboot. Then I would redownload it from scratch and do a fresh install with the redownloaded version. Otherwise if you don't completely uninstall and follow it with a reboot, a new install might not actually replace all the duplicate files - and if one of those files is corrupted, you'll still have the same issue. For that same reason, that's why I'd also download a fresh download of the game, too. Just in case something got jacked up when you originally downloaded it. I somehow came upon a tab that let me save after every one of my team's game. Been having an issue where OOTP crashes. I may have played a few games in a row, then I get the crash and have to go back and play same games over again.
Also, chek out theFILE dropdown box where you can save every game upon its completion.. Last edited by Bobbyraz49; 08-19-2023 at 09:58 AM. |

Different story if you guys sim everything out, but if you put the time in to manager all your games and you aren't saving after every single game...... you're asking for any trouble you get.
