Cubs Question

I'm doing a season with the Cubs and 53-53 at the Deadline 1/2 game back of the Cards.

Boston are in sell mode and I had the opportunity to acquire Trevor Story, which I did, with Boston retaining 50% of his salary potentially until 2028.

I traded away Mancini about a week ago, I'm using Wisdom at DH.

My main issued now is where do I played Story?

Swanson will stay at SS, but I don't know whether to play Story at 2nd or 3rd? I also have Hoerner.

Should I play Hoerner at 2nd or Story.

I play with the Cubs as well and Hoerner has been very underwhelming in my sims both in OOTP24 and OOTP23. The defense is nice, but his bat just hasn't contributed at all.

I don't know what Story's defensive ratings look like and I don't know how Hoerner is performing offensively for you, but if it is anywhere near how he has hit in my sims I would be going with Swanson everyday at SS, Story's bat in the lineup every day but I'd play him between 2B and 3B in a rotation to get Hoerner and Morel enough ABs to stay active.

FYI, Hoerner does develop a pretty good 3B defensive rating in a pretty short period of time if you give him some time over there. You could turn him into your plus level defensive utility man if you give him a little run at 3B.... I've just got very subpar offense out of him in my sims.
